About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform sample preparation using standard techniques, including acidification, digestion, aliquoting, and weighing
- Conduct chemical analyses using approved laboratory methods and instrumentation
- Prepare reagents, standards, and calibration solutions to support accurate instrument performance
- Calculate, record, and report analytical data, including documenting any irregularities or deviations
- Perform routine instrument maintenance and troubleshooting as needed
- Maintain compliance with QA/QC standards, SOPs, and regulatory requirements
- Follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) in all aspects of work
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment, including glassware and workspace upkeep
- Assist in operation and development of technical expertise in advanced instrumentation, including: Gas Chromatography (GC), Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS), Purge and Trap systems, Atomic Absorption (AA), Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP)
- Laboratory data systems
- Perform routine laboratory tasks under supervision using established procedures
- Complete all work in a safe, efficient, and timely manner
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associates or Bachelors degree in related field, preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of laboratory experience
- Basic mathematical and data analysis skills, including use of formulas and calculations
- Ability to manage workload within time and quality constraints
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data recording
- Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to collaborate within a team environment
