Sales Manager – IT Services, Managed Services
A&O IT GroupSales Manager driving growth for A&O IT Group in the UK market. Managing strategic accounts and new business development in IT services and managed services.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets
- Define and implement account plans to grow enterprise clients and large Systems Integrators (SIs), ensuring long-term profitability
- Identify and secure new business opportunities while expanding existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executive-level contacts, delivering tailored solutions
- Drive structured sales processes, including lead generation, qualification, pipeline tracking, and deal closure using CRM tools
- Provide accurate forecasts and insights on pipeline health, sales performance, and customer engagement
- Lead contract negotiations and pricing strategies to optimize revenue and margin performance
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity
- Partner with Solutions, Delivery, Finance, and HR teams to ensure seamless execution
- Lead, coach, and inspire global sales teams, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance
- Ensure adherence to internal governance, compliance standards, and cross-functional coordination
- Provide leadership in dynamic environments, guiding teams through evolving market conditions and client needs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of sales experience in IT services, managed services, or technology solutions
- Strong understanding of market dynamics and customer landscape
- Proven experience managing enterprise clients and large Systems Integrators (SIs)
- Strong understanding of global IT service delivery models, including field services and outsourcing
- Demonstrated success in strategic account planning, enterprise sales, and complex deal structuring (MSA/SOW)
- Strong understanding of enterprise buying cycles and procurement processes
- Experience engaging with C-suite stakeholders (CIO, CTO, Procurement) and influencing decision-making
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong financial acumen (forecasting, pricing, margin management, value-based selling)
- Experience with CRM tools and data-driven sales management (pipeline analytics, forecasting accuracy)
- Proven leadership experience managing high-performing, global or distributed teams
- Ability to work effectively in a global, matrixed organization with cross-functional collaboration
