About the role
- Lead and manage the Mortgage Loan Underwriting team
- Maintain an active personal pipeline of mortgage loans
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with QC team for pre-funding and post-closing QC findings
- Underwrite conventional, FHA, and VA loans
- Stay current on mortgage lending laws and regulations
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Five years of mortgage underwriting experience required
- Two years of FHA/VA underwriting experience required
- Three years of supervisory experience required
- Demonstrated team leadership abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comprehensive understanding of investor guidelines
- Proficiency in federal and state mortgage lending regulations
- Extensive knowledge of the secondary mortgage market
- Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office and mortgage loan origination platforms.
