About the role
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for the assigned territory, including annual business plans with revenue and product goals.
- Identify prospective client sources and develop growth strategies using various communication methods.
- Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to refine sales strategies.
- Deliver customized presentations and position new services, marketing ideas, and concepts to assigned brokers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients, proactively identifying opportunities to drive additional sales.
- Represent the company at national broker conferences, marketing meetings, and other industry events.
- Meet or exceed annual sales objectives, continuously monitoring progress and adjusting strategies as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and account interactions using Salesforce.
- Collaborate with the CRO and executive leaders to align territory strategies with the overall company sales plan.
- Provide input and feedback on product development, service enhancements, and market strategies based on insights.
Requirements
- Strong background in B2B sales with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful sales strategies in an assigned territory.
- Experience in building relationships with brokers and clients, with a focus on long-term partnerships and revenue growth.
- Ability to adapt sales strategies based on market trends, competitor activities, and evolving customer needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver professional presentations and communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with brokers, clients, and internal teams at all organizational levels.
- Ability to convey the value of Ameriflex products and services in a way that resonates with potential clients and partners.
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Salesforce for tracking sales activities, managing accounts, and generating reports.
- Familiarity with the insurance or employee benefits industry, with an understanding of Ameriflex-administered plans and services.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and market dynamics to effectively navigate sales opportunities and client needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and contribute to company-wide initiatives.
- Strong leadership qualities to mentor and coach other sales team members, driving regional and team success.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in a related industry such as insurance or employee benefits.
