About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform complex functional activities in support of Oracle RDBMS products and services, IBM DB2, Oracle eBusiness Suite, and Postgres
Manage and maintain a complex Oracle RDBMS production environment
Troubleshoot and resolve DB2-related issues in high-availability environments
Work on high-visibility, or mission critical aspects of a given program
Oversee the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job

Requirements

What you’ll need

A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is required
If the degree is not in the applicable field, then 4 additional years of related experience is required
13+ years of experience in database administration, production support, and performance optimization
6+ years of hands-on Oracle production DBA experience, including Oracle RMAN, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), and Real Application Clusters (RAC)
4+ years of IBM DB2 production DBA experience supporting enterprise database environments
Proven expertise managing Oracle RDBMS, IBM DB2, Oracle E-Business Suite, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases
Strong understanding of database architecture, design, performance tuning, query optimization, backup and recovery, and high availability
Proficiency in administering databases across Linux, IBM Mainframe, and Microsoft Windows environments
Extensive experience supporting and maintaining large-scale, multi-node Oracle RAC environments
Hands-on experience installing, configuring, administering, and supporting PostgreSQL database environments
Must be flexible and willing to work on-call, overnights and weekends as needed
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Must be a US Citizen or Permanent US Resident (Green Card Holder)
