About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform complex functional activities in support of Oracle RDBMS products and services, IBM DB2, Oracle eBusiness Suite, and Postgres
- Manage and maintain a complex Oracle RDBMS production environment
- Troubleshoot and resolve DB2-related issues in high-availability environments
- Work on high-visibility, or mission critical aspects of a given program
- Oversee the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job
Requirements
What you’ll need- A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is required
- If the degree is not in the applicable field, then 4 additional years of related experience is required
- 13+ years of experience in database administration, production support, and performance optimization
- 6+ years of hands-on Oracle production DBA experience, including Oracle RMAN, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), and Real Application Clusters (RAC)
- 4+ years of IBM DB2 production DBA experience supporting enterprise database environments
- Proven expertise managing Oracle RDBMS, IBM DB2, Oracle E-Business Suite, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases
- Strong understanding of database architecture, design, performance tuning, query optimization, backup and recovery, and high availability
- Proficiency in administering databases across Linux, IBM Mainframe, and Microsoft Windows environments
- Extensive experience supporting and maintaining large-scale, multi-node Oracle RAC environments
- Hands-on experience installing, configuring, administering, and supporting PostgreSQL database environments
- Must be flexible and willing to work on-call, overnights and weekends as needed
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent US Resident (Green Card Holder)
