Design, develop, code, test, debug and maintain software for the System.
Work in areas such as equipment or software design, engineering evaluation or test, configuration management, statistical analysis and modeling.
Work with users to define existing or new system scope and objectives.
Provide analytical support and technical advice during conceptualization, development, and implementation phases.
Plan and schedule new application systems projects including objectives, time frames, costs, and manpower requirements.
Identify and document hazards within software systems using analysis tools and techniques.
Review and evaluate systems and software for adherence to government or commercial directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria concerning software and systems safety.
Confirm design mitigations are captured in design documentation and verify implementation.
Provide basic design, build or maintenance of software using authoring or scripting languages and tools.
Identify and correct problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback.
Evaluate code to ensure validity, industry standards compliance and compatibility with devices or operating systems.
Support Defense Business System for US Government client; remote based out of Cleveland, OH with occasional onsite visits (two to three times per year).
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent training required.
5+ years of experience in software development and/or related field.
Strong working knowledge of COBOL, CICS, JCL, TSO, Rexx, ISPF, VSAM, IDCAMS, CA-Librarian and CA-InterTest for CICS.
Prior experience supporting Payment applications is a plus.
Experience utilizing Agile methodology.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
Must be a US Citizen.
Must be able to obtain DoD Public Trust clearance.
