About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct comprehensive legal consultations across all immigration practice areas handled by the Firm.
  • Evaluate prospective client eligibility through detailed legal analysis and client interviews.
  • Identify all available immigration pathways based upon applicable statutes, regulations, and agency guidance.
  • Explain immigration processes, expected timelines, filing requirements, government procedures, risks, benefits, and legal expectations.
  • Develop preliminary legal strategies tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
  • Build trusting attorney-client relationships through empathy, professionalism, and exceptional communication.
  • Educate prospective clients regarding realistic legal expectations while helping them understand available legal options.
  • Maintain the highest standards of attorney ethics, confidentiality, and professional responsibility.
  • Ensure all legal advice complies with applicable Rules of Professional Conduct.
  • Deliver an exceptional consultation experience that reflects the Firm's commitment to client service.
  • Build confidence in the Firm's legal expertise through thoughtful legal analysis and compassionate advocacy.
  • Answer client questions regarding immigration procedures and legal strategy.
  • Maintain complete and accurate consultation documentation within the Firm's case management platform.
  • Coordinate seamless transitions from consultation to legal onboarding following execution of representation agreements.
  • Collaborate closely with Intake Specialists, Client Experience teams, and Legal Operations to ensure efficient onboarding.
  • Partner with Managing Attorneys regarding complex legal issues and consultation strategy.
  • Maintain consultation metrics and documentation in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Foster a collaborative, mission-driven, client-centered work environment.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar License in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Strong knowledge of United States immigration law.
  • Excellent legal analysis and issue-spotting abilities.
  • Exceptional verbal communication and active listening skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with prospective clients.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • High degree of professionalism and emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to work independently within a fully remote environment.
  • Commitment to ethical legal practice and exceptional client service.
  • Two (2) or more years of immigration law experience (preferred).
  • Experience conducting legal consultations (preferred).
  • Experience evaluating eligibility across multiple immigration practice areas (preferred).
  • Experience working within a high-volume immigration law practice (preferred).
  • Demonstrated success helping prospective clients understand complex immigration matters (preferred).
  • Bilingual English and Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Experience utilizing Litify, Salesforce, or comparable legal CRM platforms (preferred).
  • Experience collaborating with intake or client experience teams (preferred).
