About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and implement accessible, visually appealing, and user-friendly interfaces for OAA applications and platforms.
- Create user-centered designs using Bootstrap, jQuery, and centralized CSS files.
- Collaborate with front-end and back-end developers to integrate designs within the .NET Core C# and Power Platform environment.
- Create additional website graphics as needed using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or other graphic design tools.
- Ensure all designs meet Section 508, ADA, and WCAG 2.0 Level A and AA compliance requirements.
- Maintain visual consistency and design standards across the OAA application portfolio.
- Support wireframing, site diagrams, and site maps in coordination with the Business Analyst.
- Remediate accessibility findings in existing UI and graphic assets.
- Manage assigned work within an annual level of effort not to exceed 250 hours.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field. No equivalencies or substitutions for the degree requirement will be accepted.
- Four (4) or more years of experience as a graphic designer focusing on user-centered design and accessibility.
- Proficiency in Bootstrap, jQuery, and centralized CSS files.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
- Demonstrated experience designing to Section 508 / WCAG 2.0 AA standards.
- Ability to work effectively on a part-time, task-based level of effort.
- Must have resided continuously in the United States for the past 36 months.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
