About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and grow online and offline member communities where existing and prospective members can connect and engage with 9amHealth content and support resources
- Create touchpoints across the member lifecycle, from pre-enrollment awareness through long-term retention
- Identify and nurture member advocates and ambassadors
- Own community-platform moderation, content calendars, and community health
- Respond to community questions, surface concerns internally, and ensure members feel heard and supported
- Manage content strategy, creation, and publishing across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other platforms
- Create posts, stories, short-form video, and member spotlights that build trust
- Track engagement, audience growth, and content performance and iterate using data
- Monitor trends in health, wellness, and the future of work
- Plan and execute virtual and in-person webinars, meetups, wellness programming, and Q&As
- Support employer health fairs and other in-person events
- Surface member sentiment, feedback, and trends to Marketing, Product, and Clinical teams
- Collaborate with clinical staff and content creators on medically accurate, on-brand, useful programming and messaging
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of experience in community management, social media, or a closely related marketing role
- Ideally, experience at a consumer health, wellness, or B2B2C company
- Demonstrated ability to build and grow engaged online communities
- Strong social media instincts across LinkedIn, Instagram, and member forums
- Experience planning and executing virtual and in-person events from conception through follow-up
- Excellent writing and communication skills, adapting voice for HR leaders and members managing chronic conditions
- Comfort operating at the intersection of B2B and B2C
- Data-driven approach to community and social, including tracking metrics and using insights to improve
- Highly organized and self-directed, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Preferred: experience in digital health, chronic condition management, or a mission-driven healthcare environment
- Preferred: familiarity with employer-sponsored benefits
- Preferred: short-form video content creation, including Reels, TikTok-style content, or YouTube Shorts
- Preferred: comfort using AI tools for content creation, social listening, and community analysis
- Preferred: experience with Circle, Mighty Networks, or Slack communities
- Preferred: background in patient advocacy, health coaching, or consumer health engagement
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
