About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, implement, and operate backend and fullstack systems that incorporate LLMs, tools, and agents as core components;
- Build agentic workflows (multi-step, tool using, stateful systems) that solve real product and operational problems;
- Integrate LLMs safely and reliably into production systems, with attention to observability, cost, and failure modes.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, Design, and other stakeholders to shape solutions, not just implement specs;
- Translate high level goals into technical architecture and execution plans;
- Contribute to roadmap discussions with a strong systems and platform perspective.
- Design APIs, services, and data models (primarily backend leaning);
- Ensure reliability, security, privacy, and scalability in a regulated healthcare context;
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, with strong knowledge of major parts of our tech stack (AWS, Java, Typescript)
- Strong experience in building with LLMs in production, not just prototypes
- Clear enthusiasm for the capabilities and opportunities of AI and agentic systems
- Strong system design skills and comfort working in ambiguous problem spaces
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
