Manage and oversee intellectual property litigation, with an emphasis on defensive matters.
Develop and implement litigation strategies in coordination with outside counsel.
Handle all aspects of IP litigation, including discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and settlement negotiations.
Manage patent, trademark, and copyright prosecution activities, including maintaining and growing the company’s IP portfolio.
Oversee responses to office actions, oppositions, and cancellations.
Advise internal stakeholders on IP enforcement and defense strategies.
Provide general litigation support for commercial and corporate disputes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on enforcement issues, dispute resolution, and related matters.
Collaborate with privacy, security, compliance, and commercial legal colleagues to scale support and align risk management on intellectual property and open source matters.
Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Admission to at least one U.S. state bar; eligibility to practice in-house
6+ years of experience in intellectual property litigation and prosecution, preferably in both law firm and in-house environments
Strong background in general litigation
Experience managing outside counsel and litigation budgets
Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and work effectively with global business stakeholders
