About the role

  • Serve as a primary administrator for the Salesforce environment, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
  • Manage user setup, profiles, roles, permissions, and security settings.
  • Maintain system health, perform regular data audits, and ensure data integrity.
  • Participate in and help drive Salesforce services problem/incident troubleshooting and resolution in partnership with the greater 8x8 IT/BizApps team, our peers, partners, and business customers.
  • Conduct and present root cause analysis of incidents as appropriate.
  • Assist in defining, implementing, and executing Disaster Recovery and High-Availability plans.
  • Identify stability, performance, and risk trends and conditions that indicate the need for changes to the 8x8 Salesforce environment.
  • Build and maintain productive collaborative relationships with external vendor partners, technicians, peer engineers, and client business teams.
  • Configure and customise Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, record types, workflows, validation rules, and automation processes.
  • Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics to support business decision-making.
  • Design and implement automation solutions, such as Flows, Process Builder, and Approval Processes, to streamline business operations.
  • Optimise workflows to reduce manual tasks and improve efficiency across teams.
  • Support integration of Salesforce with third-party tools and applications.
  • Build and maintain productive collaborative relationships with business users and key stakeholders.
  • Provide day-to-day support to Salesforce users, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and sessions to improve user adoption and proficiency.
  • Act as a Salesforce subject matter expert, addressing inquiries and guiding users on best practices.
  • Manage data imports, exports, and updates using tools like Data Loader and Salesforce Data Import Wizard.
  • Ensure data accuracy through deduplication, validation, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Create and manage custom reports and dashboards to meet the reporting needs of various departments.
  • Stay informed about Salesforce releases, features, and best practices, and assess their potential impact.
  • Test and implement new Salesforce features and functionality to ensure seamless updates.
  • Monitor system performance and resolve any technical issues promptly.
  • Need to work and think independently, be a self-starter, take initiative, prioritize and effectively complete tasks on time, with or without detailed work direction is an absolute must.
  • Need to move quickly to make decisions and commit to a clear course of action; be comfortable making decisions based on partial information; show a strong bias toward action.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other technical program (Industry certifications or additional years of experience may offset degree requirement).
  • 2+ years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator.
  • Proven experience with Salesforce configuration, user management, and data maintenance.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce tools such as Data Loader, Process Builder, and Flows.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, including standard and custom objects, workflows, and reports.
  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and solve Salesforce Administrative problems up to low-medium complexity as well as prioritize tasks to complete requests and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate (writing, speaking and presentation) effectively and consistently with clarity and thoroughness to optimize audience understanding.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to include: diligent follow-up, issue resolution, appropriately setting expectations, and navigating through difficult situations.
