About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and deliver technical training programs for field technicians
Ensure competency in commercial HVAC/R systems, refrigeration technologies, and compliance standards
Support technician development, operational consistency, and safety across the organization
Deliver structured training programs for new hires and existing technicians
Conduct ride-alongs, field coaching, and hands-on training sessions
Develop and maintain training materials, SOPs, and technical guides
Ensure compliance with EPA, safety, and company standards
Evaluate technician performance and identify skill gaps
Provide ongoing support for troubleshooting and advanced diagnostics
Stay current with emerging HVAC/R technologies and refrigerant regulations

Requirements

What you’ll need

EPA 608 Universal Certification (required)
Minimum 6 years of commercial HVAC/R experience
Strong background in retail / convenience store refrigeration systems
Proven ability to train, mentor, and evaluate technicians
Working knowledge and hands-on experience in refrigerants & systems R-448A R-290 (propane systems) R-404A R-22 / legacy systems
Familiarity with Carrier commercial HVAC/R systems Tutin Labs systems and diagnostics ALS (Advanced Leak Systems / monitoring systems)
Experience with commercial refrigeration systems Rack systems and walk-in coolers/freezers
