About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Promoting and driving the company’s safety culture within the Safety Specialist’s geographic area of oversight.
Manage the investigations of occupational injuries/illnesses to determine OSHA Recordability status; Recommend and implement appropriate corrective action measures.
Utilize reporting and trend analysis to communicate safety performance within the area of oversight.
Develop and implement improvement programs for markets and territories experiencing safety challenges.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local health and safety laws and regulations, including OSHA and Department of Labor requirements, within the assigned area.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelors/4 Yr Degree
8+ years of experience in an Occupational Health and Safety role (Retail industry preferred)
Experience with employee injury investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
Management of Federal, State, and Local regulatory compliance programs (experience with OSHA and DOL agencies preferred)
Strong knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is a requirement; especially Microsoft Excel
