About the role
- Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into the Azure data platform.
- Leverage the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem to unify data storage and analytics.
- Collaborate with analytics teams to optimize data structures for Power BI reporting.
- Architect and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Develop and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models for data warehouses and data lakes.
- Manage data storage and organization within Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 and Fabric OneLake.
- Utilize tools like dbt within the Azure ecosystem to transform raw data into analytics-ready datasets.
- Integrate and work with a variety of Azure services to build a comprehensive data solution.
- Implement and maintain data security best practices.
Requirements
- 4+ years of proven experience with key Azure data services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Databricks.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and implementing end-to-end solutions within the Fabric environment.
- Strong experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and performance tuning of large datasets.
- Deep proficiency in CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, including version control (Git) and automated deployment of data artifacts.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language such as Python or Spark (PySpark).
- Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, data modeling (dimensional modeling, etc.), and ETL/ELT concepts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality, reliable data solutions. Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
