About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Receive wood from the saw shop and piece it together with a nail gun along set stringers
  • Stack finished products by hand for forklift operators to move to appropriate areas
  • Follow company safety procedures to ensure safety for yourself and others
  • Achieve high quality standards while maintaining a high volume of finished goods
  • Build and repair wooden pallets from freshly cut or recycled wood to fulfill customer needs
  • Repetitively lift pallets weighing approximately 50–75 pounds and perform bending, stooping, walking, turning, pivoting, and standing throughout shifts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift wooden pallets weighing about 50 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Previous lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping, or roofing experience highly preferred
  • Quick hands, attention to detail, and commitment to quality
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to work in extreme conditions, including heat, cold, elements, and air particulates
  • Ability to repetitively lift up to 50–75 pounds
  • Ability to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts
  • Required PPE: eye protection, ear protection at several locations, and safety shoes
  • Close, distance, and color vision abilities
