About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Hand stack pallets to appropriate heights
- Load and unload materials from trailers by hand
- Move pallets or materials on pallets or in crates around the distribution center
- Check loads to ensure they are secure
- Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards
- Coordinate trailer moves within the yard management system
- Accurately complete production paperwork to track progress
- Communicate regularly with the Shift Lead or On-Site Manager
- Work in extreme conditions including heat, cold, elements, and air particulate
- Repetitively bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts
- Use required personal protective equipment, including eye protection, ear protection, and safety shoes
- Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds occasionally
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school degree or GED required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills needed
- Ability to work overtime when needed
- Ability to work 2nd shift, Tuesday–Friday, 4:00pm–2:00am
- Ability to work in extreme conditions including heat, cold, elements, and air particulate
- Ability to repeatedly bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required: eye protection, ear protection at several locations, and safety shoes
- Close, distance, and color vision required
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds occasionally
