About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees across the APAC region
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment activity in region
  • Ensure a seamless and engaging onboarding experience for new starters
  • Serve as the first point of contact for people-related queries
  • Support and coach managers on best practices and employee relations matters
  • Own the maintenance and periodic review of People & Culture policies and procedures
  • Support Workplace Health and Safety obligations
  • Maintain and optimise our HRIS (BambooHR) and internal systems
  • Prepare people reports and generate insights to inform decisions
  • Champion culture initiatives and events
  • Collaborate on cross-functional projects and global P&C initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Solid experience in a People & Culture, HR Advisor, or related generalist role
  • Solid working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, including the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, and modern award interpretation
  • Good working knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety obligations including psychosocial safety, and experience managing return to work and workers’ compensation cases
  • Experience owning or contributing to People & Culture policy development and maintenance
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms (BambooHR a plus) and Microsoft Office
  • A track record of building trusted relationships with managers and employees at all levels
  • A proactive and solutions-focused mindset, calm under pressure, discreet with sensitive matters, and demonstrates solid judgement
  • Strong communication skills, clear, empathetic, and confident
  • A genuine curiosity and drive to continuously improve processes and the employee experience.
