About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan to achieve sales targets and business objectives within the assigned territory
  • Coordinate efforts to achieve quarterly and annual sales goals
  • Promote and implement marketing strategies and policies aligned with 3M Abrasive Systems Division objectives
  • Use consultative selling and digital tools, including social selling platforms, to generate leads and drive customer engagement
  • Conduct product demonstrations and application training for customers
  • Represent the Abrasive Systems Division in customer and distributor interactions
  • Maintain accurate CRM records of sales activities, customer interactions, and account information
  • Provide market intelligence on competitor activities, customer needs, and product feedback
  • Plan and manage time and resources to optimize territory coverage and customer service
  • Build and maintain relationships with key accounts and prospects
  • Contribute to Environmental Health and Safety culture by following safety policies, identifying hazards, and engaging in continuous improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate in Engineering or any discipline
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant sales experience, focused on industrial or B2B sales
  • Proficiency in core selling skills, with willingness to develop communication, negotiation, account planning, and analytics
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, CRM tools, sales support systems, and other digital platforms
  • Demonstrated key account management experience with direct OEMs and Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers
  • Experience across automotive, aerospace, and metal fabrication sectors
  • Strong aptitude for value-based selling and solution-oriented sales approaches
  • High proficiency in building professional relationships and networks
  • Strong organizational and process-oriented mindset
  • Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the region, approximately 20 days per month
  • Postgraduate degree, strong communication and interpersonal skills, minimum 2 years with an MNC, and exposure to corporate clients/key account handling preferred
