About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Become a Fall Protection expert in the global market and develop deep knowledge of products, applications, and local/federal Fall Protection requirements
- Leverage product and regulatory expertise to support global business initiatives, processes, and internal cross-functional teams
- Engage with standard-setting organizations while representing 3M and advancing business strategies
- Support the United States and Canadian markets through advanced technical support, high-value opportunities, and strategic key accounts
- Develop scholarly articles and technical content
- Deliver educational webinars and seminars
- Undertake public speaking engagements demonstrating industry thought leadership
- Comply with corporate policies, procedures, and security standards
- Contribute to 3M's Environmental Health and Safety culture by following safety policies, identifying hazards, and supporting continuous improvement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science from an accredited institution, completed and verified prior to start
- Seven (7) years of experience in the workplace health and safety industry, or in technical support, product design, or customer engagement related to PPE products
- Licensed Professional Engineer, Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, or alternative safety certifications are an asset
- Experience in the fall protection industry
- Customer-focused mindset
- Proficient public speaking ability
- Experience in new product design and translating Voice of Customer insights into product requirements
- Strong people skills and ability to influence, collaborate, and work with cross-functional teams
- Self-directed and internally motivated with proven leadership skills
- Ability to work on-site at least four days a week in Maplewood, Cottage Grove, and Red Wing, Minnesota
- May include up to 25% domestic/international travel
