About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own demand signal capture and short- to medium-term volume forecasting to support container planning and booking alignment
- Build and maintain dashboards tracking first leg KPIs including cost per container, drayage spend, carrier performance, and network volume
- Conduct cost analysis and surface savings opportunities across consolidation centers and drayage spend
- Support CI target tracking against annual spend reduction goals
- Maintain accurate records across ERP, WMS, and TMS platforms
- Partner with plants, traffic management, freight forwarders, and consolidation center teams to ensure data integrity
- Produce regular reporting for leadership on first leg cost performance and trends
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across first leg operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited university OR High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 7+ years of experience in supply chain in lieu of Bachelor’s degree
- 1 year experience with ocean or air freight AND/OR drayage, intermodal, or trucking operations
- 1 year of SAP or equivalent ERP experience required
- Strong analytical and communication skills; comfortable working across multiple sites and stakeholders
- Familiarity with data analytics tools and languages is a plus (SQL, Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
