About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee regulatory compliance for hardgoods across EU and UK markets
- Lead technical risk assessments throughout the product lifecycle
- Interpret and communicate regulatory requirements to teams
- Partner with business teams to commercialize product through compliance documentation
- Coordinate testing activities with external labs
- Monitor regulatory changes in the EU/UK
- Support internal audits and external regulatory inspections
- Collaborate with teams to resolve compliance issues
- Train teams on regulatory obligations and product safety principles
- Ensure consistent application of harmonized standards
- Implement 3M Product Safety standards, processes, and SOPs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Science or Engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start)
- Five (5) years combined experience in Product Compliance, Product Stewardship, Sustainability, Materials science, Quality, or related Regulatory Affairs role in a private, public, government or military environment
- Three (3) years of project management experience
- Three (3) years of experience in people management
- Master’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline from an accredited institution (preferred)
- Experience working with high-risk applications, global customers, global regulatory bodies, and government agencies (preferred)
- Strong project management skills (preferred)
- Must be fluent in English.
