About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and further develop key retail customers in a highly competitive and dynamic environment.
- Negotiate annual agreements on pricing, terms, and promotional frameworks, and build sustainable commercial partnerships.
- Manage and develop a defined portfolio of CBG retail customers, driving growth and long-term customer value.
- Achieve the agreed annual financial targets as well as all customer-related sales KPIs.
- Analyze market and customer developments and closely monitor competitors to identify growth opportunities.
- Ensure excellent execution of category and brand strategies at the customer level.
- Take responsibility for the operational management of assigned customers (e.g., forecast tracking, promotion evaluation, sell-in/sell-out analyses, etc.).
- Work closely with cross-functional and international teams (e.g., Customer Service, Shopper Marketing, Supply Chain, Area Teams).
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales, including demonstrated success in account management within the retail or consumer goods sector (strongly preferred).
- Proven experience managing retail customers and customer portfolios, with strong commercial acumen and a proactive working style.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to succeed in a demanding commercial/trade environment.
- Strong analytical and financial skills, including understanding of customer P&L, margin management, and promotion effectiveness.
- Fluent in German and English.
