Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate with other 3Mers on environmental regulatory and enforcement matters
  • Manage complex environmental compliance and regulatory enforcement issues globally
  • Engage with regulators on environmental issues including regulatory submissions
  • Partner with other counsel and Government Affairs to mitigate risks
  • Provide legal advice to 3M on potential environmental regulatory changes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
  • Ten (10) years of environmental law practice
  • Experience serving as in-house counsel handling environmental matters
  • Experience providing legal support for regulatory advocacy initiatives
  • Experience engaging with federal and state regulators on environmental matters
  • Experience with administrative law and procedure
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Currently admitted to practice law in relevant jurisdictions or eligible to become so within six months
