About the role
- Define and communicate the product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities
- Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring items are prioritized based on business value and strategic objectives
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, developers, QA, UX/UI designers, and project managers
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
- Make informed decisions on feature scope, trade-offs, and release timing
- Monitor product performance and user feedback to guide continuous improvement
- Ensure alignment between technology solutions and organizational goals
- Document functional requirements, workflows, and product specifications
- Support change management and user adoption efforts
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business, or a science field
- Five (5) years of experience with IT program/project/product leadership in a private, public, government or military environment
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments
- Proficiency with backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar)
- Proficiency in Commercial Services business processes
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
