About the role

  • Determine directions, priorities and assigns resources with full accountability for results of functional area.
  • Responsible for managing sales targets for assigned customers/area(s)/product line(s).
  • Identify and define market/product opportunities to meet sales and growth objectives.
  • Driving growth of 3M solutions at some of the Nation’s largest military depots and repair facilities.
  • Owning, leveraging and cultivating senior level relationships at assigned accounts to identify business needs / drivers and position 3M solutions for growth.
  • Building and executing channel engagement plans that leverage existing government contracts and market trends (ie, use of small, disadvantaged businesses).
  • Leading 3M Team members at assigned accounts to foster and drive collaboration in the attainment of assigned forecast.
  • Creating, maintaining, and executing pipeline of opportunities and engagements to realize the key sales targets and metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and Three (3) years of account sales experience in a commercial, government, or military environment OR Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and Five (5) years of military experience
  • Three (3) years of key account sales experience in a government or military environment.
  • Strategic management of product distribution companies.
  • Working cross-functionally within a complex matrix organization.
  • Experience working as a government employee.
  • Skills include managing through CRM tools, selling skills, and C-Suite sales.
