Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using Terraform and AWS best practices
Implement and manage AWS multi-account environments via Landing Zone and Control Tower
Assist in the transition from traditional server-based architectures to serverless solutions using AWS Lambda
Design and implement a Desktop as a Service solution to improve security, enhance flexibility, simplify IT management and provide cost savings
Automate infrastructure deployment and application delivery using GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines
Migrate workloads from existing environments into new AWS accounts, ensuring minimal downtime
Support and maintain Linux and Windows-based systems in our cloud environments
Configure and manage core AWS services, including EC2, ECS, VPC, IAM, RDS, ELB, WAF, Transit Gateways, and Cloud WAN
Administer and support database technologies including MSSQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL
Collaborate with software development teams working with Python, Angular, and React to ensure infrastructure aligns with application needs
Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, security, and cost efficiency, implementing improvements as needed
Architect all solutions based on the organization's business processes and best practices, optimizing for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
Resolve complex technical issues by analyzing and formulating solutions based on industry best practices
Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of our cloud architecture, procedures, and best practices
Requirements
Extensive AWS experience
Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Terraform
Experience implementing multi-account configurations in a Landing Zone for Control Tower using Account Factory for Terraform (AFT)
Experience building and publishing service catalogs for serverless compute services such as ECS, Fargate, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, etc.
Experience planning and deploying a mid- to large-scale AWS WorkSpaces rollout
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
3+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role working in an enterprise environment
Advanced knowledge of cloud technologies and cloud infrastructure
Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
Experience with AWS Landing Zones and Control Tower
Hands-on experience deploying Desktop as a Service solutions like Amazon WorkSpaces
Advanced proficiency with Linux and Windows administration in cloud environments
Hands-on experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation
In-depth knowledge of AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, ECS, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, ELB, WAF, Lambda, Transit Gateway, and Cloud WAN
Experience supporting MSSQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL in production environments
Scripting and automation skills
Familiarity with Angular, Python, and React to support integration with infrastructure
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
AWS certifications, e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional
Experience in cloud migrations or building greenfield cloud environments
Familiarity with cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks
