About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead or support discovery and requirements analysis to translate business goals into testable acceptance criteria, QE scope, and an executable test approach.
- Implement the end-to-end QE strategy and quality architecture for a workstream across functional and non-functional needs (e.g., reliability, performance, security, data quality); contribute to governance/standards and documentation and escalate gaps/risks with recommended improvements.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable automation solutions (UI/API/data as applicable), selecting appropriate tools and frameworks and ensuring maintainability and reusability.
- Integrate testing into CI/CD and delivery workflows to improve release confidence (e.g., automation in pipelines, quality gates, environments, and test data strategy).
- Execute and guide testing (automation-first with targeted manual testing when needed), ensuring coverage, traceability, and actionable defect management and triage.
- Own workstream-level QE planning and execution management, including estimation, sequencing, dependencies, and day-to-day coordination with product/engineering to meet delivery milestones.
- Establish and run a workstream quality cadence (dashboards/status, defect triage, root-cause themes), ensuring risks and release readiness are visible early and decisions are data-informed.
- Communicate quality status, risks, and tradeoffs to client and internal stakeholders; recommend course-corrections to scope, plan, or approach based on data and outcomes.
- Mentor and coach engineers/consultants through pairing, feedback, and day-to-day technical leadership; model strong engineering practices and help the team adopt consistent QE ways of working.
- Contribute to QE practice development by sharing patterns, improving accelerators, and promoting a quality-first culture across engagements.

- Consulting and client-facing experience, including partnering with stakeholders and aligning quality work to business outcomes.
- Solid experience in quality methodologies, test planning, automation, and quality engineering practices (including traceability, defect management, and reporting).
- Hands-on experience designing and building automation solutions using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent frameworks.
- Strong programming skills in C#, Java, Python, or similar languages with the ability to write maintainable test code.
- Performance and load testing experience and familiarity with related tooling (e.g., JMeter, Azure Load test, Locust, k6, Gatling).
- Data quality and data platform testing experience (ETL/ELT pipelines, analytics validation); Databricks / Microsoft Fabric preferred.
- AI/ML/LLM testing experience (prompt/output evaluation, regression approaches, model behavior risks/metrics) and/or AI-assisted QE techniques (test generation, flaky test triage, test data generation).
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver maintainable, scalable testing solutions that align with business objectives.
- Experience with API testing and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines; familiarity with Agile delivery and defect/requirements processes.
- Demonstrated ability to apply emerging tools/techniques (including AI-assisted QE where appropriate) to improve speed, reliability, and insight in testing.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain quality risk, status, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in cross-functional teams.
