About the role

  • Establish, develop and own the QA strategy for the Defense Metaverse
  • Define and enforce quality standards for software, simulations and AI components
  • Plan, coordinate and execute functional, non-functional and system-level tests
  • Ensure quality of: simulation logic and scenarios, AI-driven adversary and agent behavior, distributed and networked systems
  • Develop and maintain test concepts, test plans and test cases
  • Introduce and apply automated testing methods where appropriate
  • Analyze defects, perform root-cause analyses and track issues through to resolution
  • Work closely with software development, AI teams, system architecture and product owners
  • Ensure traceability, reproducibility and documentation of test results
  • Support acceptance testing, reviews and releases

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related field
  • Alternatively: equivalent practical experience in complex software or simulation projects
  • Several years of professional experience in quality management or software QA, ideally with complex systems
  • Experience with testing methods for distributed systems, simulations or AI-based software
  • Understanding of AI systems, particularly non-deterministic behavior
  • Experience with test automation, test frameworks and QA tools
  • Confident working with Linux environments and modern development workflows
  • Understanding of system architectures, interfaces and data flows
  • Excellent German and business-fluent English
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal competence
  • Highly motivated to work reliably and independently remotely and to proactively solve problems ("mission-type tactics")
  • Eligible for security screening (Ü2)
  • Advantageous: experience with simulation, training or serious-game platforms
  • Knowledge of agile development models
  • Experience in safety-critical or governmental environments
  • Basic understanding of military or tactical scenarios
