About the role
- Develop, write, design, and schedule a minimum of two email campaigns per month highlighting recent or upcoming events
- Create targeted campaigns to promote retreats, workshops, and special offerings
- Maintain an organized and consistent email marketing calendar aligned with business goals
- Ensure all email content is accurate, on-brand, and aligned with messaging guidelines
- Write compelling email copy for newsletters, event recaps, retreat invitations, promotions, and announcements
- Repurpose content from events, workshops, and internal updates into engaging email formats
- Collaborate with leadership or project owners to gather highlights and key messaging
- Manage email lists, segments, and subscriber groups for targeted outreach
- Build responsive email designs using templates within the chosen email marketing platform
- Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, copy, and layouts to improve engagement
- Ensure best practices for deliverability, formatting, and compliance
- Set up and manage basic automation workflows such as welcome sequences, follow-ups, and event reminders
- Monitor list health and recommend strategies for engagement, retention, and growth
- Track key performance metrics including open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and engagement
- Prepare monthly performance summaries with insights and optimization recommendations
- Use campaign data to refine content, segmentation, and timing strategies
- Coordinate with events, operations, and retreat teams to collect content and promotion details
- Ensure promotional schedules are accurate and up to date
- Maintain organized documentation of campaigns, assets, and reports
- Upload latest press features, interviews, or TV segments to the website
- Add downloadable resources (e.g., workbooks) to the website
- Make minor text or verbiage updates as requested
- Set up and manage promo codes for downloadable products
Requirements
- Proven experience in email marketing, digital marketing, or content creation
- Strong copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills
- Experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, ConvertKit, ActiveCampaign, Klaviyo, or similar
- Ability to create visually clean, engaging emails using templates
- Solid understanding of list management, segmentation, and basic automation
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data and apply insights
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
