About the role

  • Make outbound cold calls to provided lists of companies and contacts
  • Introduce the company and explain offerings at a high level
  • Handle gatekeepers and front-desk routing effectively
  • Ask basic qualifying questions to assess needs, timelines, and decision-makers
  • Identify potential capital equipment or project opportunities
  • Collect and verify accurate contact details (name, title, email, phone)
  • Log all calls, notes, and outcomes accurately in the CRM or tracking sheet
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date lead records
  • Schedule follow-up calls when appropriate
  • Pass qualified and interested prospects to the internal sales team
  • Provide clear notes and context for smooth handoffs
  • Handle basic objections professionally (not interested, busy, existing supplier)
  • Follow provided call scripts and messaging guidelines
  • Provide feedback to improve scripts based on real-world conversations
  • Submit weekly summary reports including: Number of calls made, Number of live conversations, Number of qualified leads generated, Common objections or feedback

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in B2B cold calling, telemarketing, or outbound lead generation
  • Proven experience qualifying leads or setting appointments (not closing sales)
  • Strong verbal communication and listening skills
  • Ability to follow scripts while sounding natural and professional
  • Comfortable handling objections and rejection
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and consistent with data entry
  • Able to work independently and meet activity targets
  • Industry Knowledge (Preferred, Not Required): Experience in capital equipment, industrial, manufacturing, or B2B sales environments
  • Willingness to learn technical products and industry terminology
  • VoIP or dialer tools (RingCentral, Aircall, Skype, or similar)
  • CRM & Tracking (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, or Google Sheets)
  • Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail)
