About the role

  • Develop and execute SEO-led content strategies to drive organic traffic, improve rankings, and enhance overall content performance
  • Oversee the full content production cycle, ensuring all output is high-quality, accurate, and fully SEO-optimised
  • Lead and evolve the editorial and SEO/GEO strategy across three leading UK company formation brands
  • Write and edit long-form content to improve organic visibility, authority, and audience engagement
  • Build, manage, and coach a freelance content team, embedding best practice in editorial standards, brand voice, SEO, and GEO optimisation
  • Train and upskill content writers on SEO, content management, and optimisation best practices
  • Leverage GenAI tools and stay ahead of GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) developments to improve content discoverability
  • Track and analyse performance metrics, using insights to refine content strategy and continuously improve quality and reach
  • Translate complex regulatory, legal, and technical topics into clear, authoritative content for small business audiences
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment across all content
  • Lead partnerships with external agencies to deliver integrated, cross-channel content initiatives and improve brand discoverability

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior content, editorial, or content strategy role (Head of Content, Content Lead, or similar)
  • Strong expertise in SEO-led content strategy and performance optimisation
  • Experience managing freelancers, writers, or distributed content teams
  • Strong editorial and writing skills, with experience producing or editing long-form content
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics to inform content decisions
  • Familiarity with GenAI tools and awareness of GEO / AI search trends is highly desirable
  • Ability to simplify complex, technical, or regulatory topics into clear, engaging content
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in B2B, financial services, legal, or small business sectors is an advantage but not essential
  • Strategic thinker who is equally comfortable being hands-on when needed
