About the role

  • Research and write clear, accurate, and engaging long-form articles on topics including:
  • Corporate legal structures
  • Governance, equity and debt financing, and compliance
  • Commercial agreements (NDAs, supplier agreements, consultancy contracts)
  • Intellectual property and data protection (trademarks, licensing, policies)
  • Employment law, contracts, restructuring guidance (including TUPE), and HR policies
  • Produce thought leadership pieces on emerging and strategic topics (e.g. AI in the legal profession, business sale preparation, regulatory developments).
  • Translate technical legal principles into practical, business-focused guidance.
  • Ensure all content is accurate, compliant, and aligned with UK legal standards.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure subject-matter accuracy and brand alignment.
  • Incorporate SEO best practices where relevant, without compromising clarity or authority.
  • Respond constructively to editorial feedback and deliver revisions promptly.
  • Meet agreed deadlines and maintain consistent content quality.

Requirements

  • Legal qualification (e.g. LLB, LPC, SQE, or equivalent) or demonstrable experience writing about UK corporate, commercial, or employment law.
  • Strong understanding of UK legal frameworks affecting businesses.
  • Proven ability to make complex legal concepts accessible and engaging for business owners and non-lawyers.
  • Excellent written English with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong research, factchecking, and source-validation skills.
  • Experience writing for professional services, law firms, or B2B audiences preferred.
  • Ability to balance technical accuracy with commercial relevance.
  • Reliable, organised, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
  • Familiarity with SEO principles is advantageous but not essential.
