About the role

  • In this position you take overall strategic and operational responsibility for the company’s entire vehicle fleet
  • You define standards, processes and procurement strategies and provide functional leadership to local fleet managers to ensure transparency, efficiency and cost-effectiveness across locations
  • Develop and implement a company-wide fleet strategy for passenger cars and vans
  • Define and implement uniform policies, standards and processes for all sites
  • Ensure compliance (legal requirements, internal policies, insurance, sustainability targets)
  • Document and maintain the fleet management software and manage external service providers
  • Coordinate and harmonize cross-site requirements
  • Independently produce fleet reporting (costs, TCO, utilization, consumption) and derive optimization opportunities
  • Responsible for central procurement of vehicles, leasing, service and insurance solutions
  • Manage tenders, bid comparisons and contract and price negotiations
  • Manage contractual agreements and develop operational processes with OEMs, leasing companies and service providers
  • Conduct continuous market, price and trend analyses to identify potential savings

Requirements

  • Completed degree (e.g., Business Administration, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering) or comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in fleet management and cross-site coordination
  • Advantage: experience in strategic procurement or category management
  • Strong analytical skills, particularly regarding cost and contract structures
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Confident stakeholder management both internally and externally
  • Proficient with spreadsheets and, ideally, fleet/ERP systems
  • Structured, independent and solution-oriented working style
  • Very good German language skills (CEFR C1/C2)
