Machine Learning Engineer

• Designing, training, and deploying models that turn hotel data into reliable production outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with ML Engineering Manager, CTO, and product partners to design modeling approaches.
• Build pipelines and support experiments that drive measurable revenue impact.
• Build and maintain training and evaluation pipelines ensuring offline metrics align with online business outcomes.
• Partner with engineering to integrate models into production services and batch jobs with defined SLAs.
• Contribute production-ready Python and SQL code with strong testing and review practices.
• Support data quality, observability, and reproducibility across the ML lifecycle.
• Collaborate on experiment design, including A/B testing and staged rollouts.
• Analyze experimental results, communicate lift and trade-offs, and document findings.
• Work closely with product, engineering, and leadership to scope problems and propose modeling approaches.
• Participate in code reviews, model reviews, and planning sessions.
• Share learnings and contribute to improving team practices around modeling, metrics, and documentation.

Senior Machine Learning Engineer – Applied Modeling

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Act as a strategic partner to the Managing Partner and leadership team to drive financial and investment strategy
• Develop financial models supporting SaaS startup lifecycle, capital allocation, and long-term growth
• Lead due diligence, valuation, and deal structuring for venture investments, acquisitions, and liquidity events
• Oversee financial reporting including SaaS metrics, burn rates, and performance benchmarks
• Develop investment approval packages for Seed and Series A funding rounds
• Guide exit strategies including M&A, strategic sales, and other liquidity events
• Serve as the financial liaison between 1848 Ventures and Westfield, presenting financial updates and ensuring alignment
• Build and lead a high-performing finance team and implement financial technologies for reporting and automation
• Establish and evolve financial processes for new ventures, ensuring compliance with GAAP/ASC 606 and managing tax, capital, and vendor management
• Lead legal strategy oversight and manage external legal partnerships
• Drive IT strategy to support secure, scalable infrastructure and ensure data security and privacy compliance
• Optimize back-office functions and partner with People & Culture on compensation, benefits, and incentives
