• Translate member materials from English to Spanish using computer-aided translation (CAT) software; written materials range from correspondence about benefits to educational materials.
• Adjust translation as needed to convey the style, tone, and intent of the text and produce culturally and linguistically appropriate materials.
• Ensure that translations properly convey meaning and adhere to reading level requirements.
• Ensure translated materials are consistent with brand and style guidelines.
• Provide proofreading and editing as needed to support the quality and accuracy of translated documents submitted by vendors or contractors.
• Collaborate with copywriters, graphic designers, project managers, and reviewers on a daily basis to create products that meet all standards.
• Request clarification if there is any ambiguity to ensure the source text is transferred accurately into the target language.
• Balance time-sensitive deadline submissions with longer-term project deadlines.

Spanish Translator

• Provide statewide leadership, policy development, strategic planning, and program oversight for Oregon’s Health Care Interpreter (HCI) Program.
• Lead initiatives that strengthen program integrity, improve access to healthcare interpreting services for Medicaid members and other individuals with limited English proficiency.
• Enhance workforce and data systems, and support compliance with state and federal requirements.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to agency leadership and collaborate with healthcare providers, Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs), state and local partners, and community organizations to develop policies, implement system improvements, and advance equitable access to culturally and linguistically responsive healthcare services throughout Oregon.

Health Care Interpreter, Policy Strategist

• Provide accurate and culturally appropriate Korean interpretation during IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, academic assessments, school events, and other events.
• Deliver services both in-person and via secure video platforms.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics.
• Collaborate with educators, specialists, and administrators to ensure meaningful access for Korean-speaking families.
• Use tools such as LinguistLink for scheduling and feedback, and contribute to glossary development for school-specific terminology.
• Troubleshoot basic technical issues during video sessions.

Korean Onsite Community Interpreter

• Provide court-certified interpretation services in various legal proceedings, including hearings, trials, and other court events.
• Maintain strict adherence to ethical standards and confidentiality requirements.
• Accurately interpret legal terminology and proceedings between English and Spanish in real time.
• Prepare for assignments by reviewing case materials and becoming familiar with relevant legal vocabulary.
• Collaborate with court personnel and attorneys professionally and courteously.
• Stay informed about changes in laws and best practices in court interpretation.

Court Certified English - Spanish Interpreter

• Coordinate Interpreter Scheduling & Coverage
• Assign interpreters based on availability, credentials, language proficiency, location, and client requirements
• Verify interpreter eligibility and credentialing requirements prior to assignment
• Proactively fill open assignments and scheduling gaps to maximize coverage
• Reassign appointments as needed to ensure continuity of service
• Arrange backup coverage whenever possible to minimize disruptions
• Respond to interpreter and client inquiries with professionalism, empathy, and urgency
• Handle inbound and outbound communications related to scheduling and appointment updates
• Resolve concerns through a One Call Resolution mindset whenever possible
• Build strong relationships with interpreters to support engagement and retention
