• Serve as the primary scientific expert and internal champion for one or more immunology disease areas
• Translate deep mechanistic understanding of immune pathology into actionable therapeutic hypotheses and target identification strategies
• Maintain a current and comprehensive view of the competitive landscape, emerging science, and unmet medical need across assigned disease areas
• Represent CSL Behring at key scientific conferences, advisory boards, and KOL meetings; build and leverage a broad external network of thought leaders, clinical investigators, and academic collaborators
• Drive end-to-end asset progression from ideation through first-in-disease designation, integrating scientific rationale, translational endpoints, patient population selection, and regulatory strategy
• Lead or co-lead target and asset evaluation activities including preclinical data package reviews, mechanism-of-action assessments, and translational feasibility analyses
• Provide scientific input to IND-enabling studies, proof-of-concept study designs, and Phase 1/1b protocol development
• Collaborate with the discovery and translational teams to define disease-relevant biomarkers, pharmacodynamic readouts, and patient stratification strategies for early clinical programs
• Actively contribute to R&D programs as a subject matter expert and provide guidance for the clinical development pathway
• Partner with Business Development to assess in-licensing, partnering, and acquisition opportunities within the immunology space, providing scientific due diligence leadership

• Provide disease area expertise to regulatory submissions, clinical study reports, and scientific communications

Senior Director, Immunology and Translation

• Lead efforts to develop and integrate modern data infrastructure, analytics platforms, and visualization capabilities to support New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) and broader translational safety initiatives across the organization.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data infrastructure and visualization solutions supporting NAMs initiatives and other TSRS workflows
• Develop and implement databases and registries using tools such as Databricks
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including scientific, data engineering, IT, and AI/ML teams to harmonize and standardize data structures across nonclinical and clinical safety domains.
• Define metadata standards and ontology mappings for model systems, assays, samples, readouts, validation status, and context of use
• Support data governance, data quality, and reproducibility best practices across TSRS platforms
• Conceptualize, design, and build interactive dashboards and visualizations using platforms such as Spotfire to enable AI-supported and data-driven decision-making
• Translate complex scientific and technical concepts into clear visualizations and actionable insights for diverse stakeholders
• Develop pipelines and workflows to integrate NAMs data and other internal data with enterprise datasets, such as clinical data, via AI/ML

Senior Scientist – Translational Safety, Risk Sciences

• Develop translational strategies designed to support clinical development plans, the regulatory path, and product commercialization.
• Lead the development and implementation of translational imaging strategies in support of clinical proof-of-mechanism, patient stratification, dose selection.
• Serve as the neuroimaging lead on cross-functional program teams.
• Partner with Research to discover and characterize novel imaging biomarkers in preclinical studies.
• Develop imaging methods and analytically validate imaging tools for clinical use.
• Implement clinical biomarkers and ensure biomarker-driven decision-making across all phases of drug development.
• Lead cross-functional imaging governance (e.g., Imaging Steering Committee) advancing the use of imaging biomarkers to enable demonstration of disease-modifying effects.
• Deliver subject matter expertise with respect to clinically advanced techniques in MRI, PET, SPECT, HRCT and other modalities as needed.
• Oversee CRO vendor/partners ensuring that they optimally execute clinical and preclinical imaging projects in the US, Canada, and other regions of interest.
• Provide support for the Business Development organizations as needed on diligence efforts.

Director, Translational Medicine, Imaging

• serve as expert PK/PD modeler in cross-functional teams, to make model-informed decisions about drug discovery, modality selection, and dose prediction across therapeutic areas
• integrate in vitro and in vivo data to build PBPK, quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP), or other mechanistic modeling platforms of drug disposition and pharmacology, to support forward / reverse translation for both established and novel therapeutic targets
• guide software developers in the design of automated workflows for implementing modeling platforms, to inform human PK/PD and dose projections
• collaborate across the PDMB organization to develop modeling and simulation strategies to identify and optimize drug candidates
• provide scientific guidance and cross-functional supervision to a team of growing scientists
• mentor / supervise junior colleagues to perform the above duties and to grow the above capabilities.

Director, Translational PK/PD, PBPK Modeling

• Characterize and integrate biomedical data modalities — digital pathology (whole slide images), neuroimaging (PET, structural and functional MRI), omics (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics), and longitudinal clinical data to develop specialized, domain-specific models for neurodegeneration.
• Build and refine data engineering pipelines that harmonize heterogeneous modalities — reconciling differences in spatial resolution, temporal scale, and dimensionality — into unified analytical frameworks.
• Identify where cross-modal integration produces genuine insight versus where it introduces noise or artifact, establishing ground truth for downstream AI evaluation.
• Critically assess AI-driven literature synthesis and automated “third reviewer” capabilities for detecting methodological weaknesses, logical gaps, and unsupported claims across data modalities.
• Establish standards for how agentic systems incorporate overlooked or contradictory evidence such as negative findings, failed clinical trials, etc. and evaluate whether these integrations generate genuinely novel hypotheses.
• Design evaluation frameworks for agentic AI systems operating across neuroscience data modalities — assessing whether models can reason credibly across imaging, omics, and clinical evidence.
• Develop benchmarks using synthetic and real-world multi-modal datasets that probe AI co-scientist capabilities under realistic research conditions, testing for robustness, reproducibility, and alignment with expert-level biomedical reasoning.
• Serve as a neurodegeneration domain expert within the AI/ML team, ensuring that model outputs remain anchored to clinically relevant disease questions.
• Translate evaluation findings into actionable guidance for AI system development, bridging computational and experimental perspectives.
• Publish evaluation methodologies and findings in leading journals and conferences (e.g., AD/PD, AAIC, NeurIPS).
