• Effectively identify and attract Software Engineering, Product & Design candidates
• Source a large pipeline of high quality candidates across evergreen or high priority roles
• Engage exceptional technical candidates, engage and vet them, and manage interviewing and hiring processes, keeping candidate experience top of mind

Technical Sourcer – Engineering

• Owning full-cycle recruiting for engineering roles across the business, from intake and calibration through sourcing, interview process design, offer, and close
• Maintaining a high bar for every hire. We are a small organization, and every hire can make a positive or negative impact on our goals. This responsibility cannot be taken lightly.
• Partnering closely with hiring managers to define role scope, align on candidate profile, and build practical, high-signal interview plans
• Coaching interviewers and hiring teams on structured interviewing, candidate evaluation, and how to maintain a high hiring bar while moving with urgency
• Personally driving outbound sourcing strategy and execution across multiple roles; we do not have dedicated sourcers, so this role is expected to source heavily and consistently
• Managing candidate pipelines with intensity and precision, ensuring strong conversion at every stage from first outreach through offer acceptance
• Creating an excellent candidate experience, especially with high-demand engineering talent who expect responsiveness, clarity, and strong selling throughout the process
• Using AI tools effectively to improve recruiter productivity, sourcing research, communication quality, interview preparation, and pipeline management, while applying sound judgment and maintaining a high-quality candidate experience

Senior Engineering Recruiter

• Consults with management and cross-functional teams when implementing sourcing strategies to proactively identify candidates and assemble diverse pipeline of talent for niche jobs.
• Defines, designs, and executes sourcing strategies to align with overarching hiring strategy.
• Identifies top prospects and provides the information to respective recruiters.
• Develops and maintains ongoing relationships and partnerships with candidates, peer partners, and third-party vendors to deliver candidates for business hiring needs.
• Creates and implements highly impactful sourcing strategies that result in quality submittals and hires.
• Utilizes a variety of sourcing channels, competitive research and other technologies to attract candidates with targeted experience and skills.
• Stays current on business and recruiting trends that may impact the hiring process or talent pools.
• Advises recruiters and hiring managers on the competitive landscape for attracting talent based on market data and research.
• Builds on the current candidate experience concept and introduces creative ideas to actively engage candidates.
• Leverages market intelligence to identify, target, and contact passive candidates, presenting opportunities and conveying the USAA employee value proposition for attraction and potential hire.
• Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
