Scrum Master

• Manage and maintain Agile project management tools supporting product backlog management, sprint planning, task tracking, release planning, and sprint reporting.
• Coordinate Agile project activities across cross-functional teams, ensuring work is organized, prioritized, and aligned with program objectives.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, dependencies, impediments, and resource constraints, and work with program leadership to resolve issues.
• Maintain sprint burndown charts, velocity metrics, release readiness metrics, and other Agile performance indicators.
• Generate automated dashboards, reports, and project metrics from Government-approved Agile management tools to provide real-time visibility into program performance.
• Collaborate with Government stakeholders, Product Owners, and technical teams to clarify requirements, refine product backlogs, and manage scope changes.
• Maintain traceability between customer requirements, user stories, development tasks, testing activities, and delivered capabilities.
• Facilitate risk identification, mitigation planning, and issue resolution throughout sprint execution and release planning activities.
• Promote Agile best practices and continuous improvement by encouraging collaboration, transparency, and efficient delivery processes across the program.
• Support release planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile activities as needed.
• Prepare project status reports, executive briefings, and performance summaries for program leadership and Government stakeholders.
• Ensure project documentation, schedules, and Agile artifacts remain accurate, current, and compliant with program requirements.

Agile Project Manager

• Serve as the Scrum Master for an Agile software development team supporting customer modernization initiatives.
• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Release Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives while ensuring established timeboxes are maintained.
• Coach the team on Agile principles, Scrum framework, and continuous improvement practices.
• Collaborate closely with the Government Product Owner to refine, prioritize, and maintain the Product Backlog.
• Ensure Product Backlog Items (PBIs) are well-defined, prioritized, and ready for sprint execution.
• Enforce adherence to the team's Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD).
• Remove obstacles that impede team progress and proactively resolve or escalate issues to appropriate stakeholders.
• Maintain sprint metrics, burndown charts, velocity tracking, team capacity planning, and impediment logs.
• Generate Agile dashboards, reports, and performance metrics using Government-approved Agile management tools.
• Support transparency by communicating sprint progress, risks, dependencies, and blockers to Government and program leadership.
• Encourage collaboration across software engineering, DevSecOps, testing, database administration, and technical documentation teams.
• Promote Agile maturity through coaching, mentoring, and continuous process improvement.
• Support technical meetings and Scrum ceremonies to maintain high levels of team participation and engagement.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, Agile processes, and program reporting requirements.

• Draws on past experience, supports and facilitates a number Scrum Team(s) with varying levels of complexity in various functions by fostering Agile values and practices.
• Ensures team adherence to Agile principles.
• Provides coaching to the team(s), including newly formed teams, on how to execute the Scrum Framework.
• May provide guidance to less experienced Scrum Masters.
• Organizes and facilitates ceremonies, recommends and executes on improvement opportunities to optimize velocity and while mitigating risk.
• Tracks and communicates the overall team progress providing visibility to stakeholders.
• Takes a broader perspective to provide solutions to complex challenges.
• Serves as a filter to remove impediments to progress identified by the team(s).
• Protects the team(s) from outside influences to ensure the team remains focused on Scrum Team priorities.
• Partners with the Product Owner(s) to ensure the backlog items are prioritized based on business value and ready for the team(s).
