• Work across project activities in collaboration with the core team and partnership board.

Research Fellow – Digital Gambling Observatory, Young Adults

• Observing site-level implementation and contributing to field notes.
• Conducting qualitative data collection, including interviews and focus groups.
• Supporting MHSTs during implementation with recruitment tracking and monitoring.
• Contributing to quantitative data support and implementation metrics tracking.
• Building positive relationships with stakeholders and supporting dissemination activities.

Research Assistant – DI Study

• Design and implement embedded control systems for real-time optimisation of MEC performance
• Develop and refine control algorithms for adaptive system behaviour
• Integrate hardware/software co-design solutions for monitoring voltage, current, and system performance
• Develop data acquisition and remote monitoring systems using IoT technologies (e.g. LoRaWAN)
• Conduct laboratory experiments and field trials to evaluate system performance under varying wastewater conditions
• Analyse experimental data to understand interactions between applied voltage, microbial activity, and biogas production efficiency
• Support deployment and validation of the system in real-world environments
• Collaborate with industrial partners to refine system design for commercial readiness
• Contribute to techno-economic analysis and scalability assessment
• Prepare technical reports, scientific publications, and documentation
• Present research outcomes at academic and industry events

Research Assistant – Associate

• Design, configure and deploy cutting edge mental health collections to capture youth mental wellbeing patterns that are innovative and push the space forward
• Analyze large-scale text data from thousands of youth to synthesize lived experiences into actionable and understandable insights
• Propose interventions to a diverse set of mental health stakeholders based on our findings to amplify the work of charities, policy makers, advocacy organizations, and healthcare providers to genuinely improve mental health outcomes
• Inform our products and interactive outputs by communicating what we’re seeing works best, and effectively relaying that information to our Product and R&D teams so they can generalize our approaches.
• Deliver on a wide range of research activities such as data analytics, literature review, instrument development, development of novel data sources, compiling reports and slide decks
• Innovate, experiment, and deliver with ownership by thinking flexibly and creatively around what’s most needed in the UK mental health and wellbeing space today

• Translate operational requirements into optimisation models across scheduling, assignment and pricing problems.
• Develop and evaluate solution approaches — drawing on knowledge of mathematical programming and meta-heuristics.
• Design and build algorithms, heuristics and solvers bespoke for the unique problems you formulate.
• Ensure your solutions are scalable and adaptable to our growing operation.
• Benchmark and evaluate the performance of your solutions
• Work closely with engineering to productionise your solutions into automated daily processes
• Work with analytics to monitor the daily performance of your solution, using this information to proactively evolve your solution to make better decisions.
