Platform Engineer

• Work with senior leadership to address project dependencies, negotiate and estimate incremental delivery dates for milestones with the stakeholder community, and deliver projects on time
• Lead the File Exchange Platform team responsible for GEICO's tier-1 secure file transfer service (~3M monthly transfers).
• Drive modernization from ticket-based operations to a self-service portal, and CMDB-driven self-certification, deliver high availability and geo-distributed resiliency across data centers, and meet NYDFS/PCI compliance and vulnerability SLAs while reducing onboarding cycle time and support burden.
• Lead the UPE team that defines the paved road for PaaS service providers — Platform SDKs (Python, Go, TypeScript, Java), Platform Client UI/UX, IaC as a Service.

Senior Manager, Staff SW Engineering – Platform Engineering

• Serve as a key engineer for the GenAI platform and contribute technical expertise to teams in closely aligned technical areas such as AIML Platform, DevOps, Compute and Cloud.
• Co-design major software components of the GenAI Platform and contribute to development of production code in Python and participate in both design reviews and PR reviews.
• Accountable for key component(s) of GenAI Platform with particular focus on usability, reproducibility and performance at scale

Power Platform Developer

• Design, architect, document, and lead the development of AI/ML platform components and agentic AI applications
• Implement and optimize cutting-edge AI/ML algorithms and production-quality code, primarily using Python and possibly Go, C, C++, or Rust
• Build and deploy container-based applications to platforms like Red Hat OpenShift, public clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure), leveraging CI/CD best practices and MLOps infrastructure

• Own the architecture of a Snowflake lakehouse ingesting 30+ regulatory and market data sources (FFIEC, FDIC, NCUA, FactSet, Xignite, SEC EDGAR, FRED, etc.) via S3 external tables, Dask-based transforms, and SQS / Mongo change-stream event pipelines.
• Design and evolve reusable Terraform modules spanning AWS, Azure, Snowflake, MongoDB Atlas, GitLab, Datadog, etc.
• Drive CI/CD, IaC, and acceptance-test (BDD/behave) standards across the team.
• Mentor engineers and act as code-owner across IaC, data-lake, and application repos.

• Develop and enforce database platform standards, reusable reference architectures, and patterns to streamline adoption and minimize fragmentation.
• Design and execute migration strategies for traditional databases (Oracle, SQL Server) to cloud-native AWS solutions.
• Perform hands-on engineering to build automation, tooling, and performance enhancements using Infrastructure as Code and database-native features.

• Own the lifecycle of production services — deployment, monitoring, incident response, and capacity planning in a Linux-based multi-VM distributed systems environment
• Perform systems-level debugging and performance tuning in virtual machines, containers, and Kubernetes environments
