• Define and execute the enterprise data and analytics platform strategy
• Establish standards, guardrails, and reusable capabilities for data use
• Own the strategy and lifecycle of foundational analytical data products
• Lead a unified organization spanning data engineering and analytics platforms

Vice President – Data & Platform Engineering

• Shape the strategic vision for Voya’s Wealth Management platform and manage the go-forward digital technology strategy & roadmap.
• Serve as a “horizontal leader” across the organization—raising engineering quality and reliability across multiple product squads while improving developer productivity and delivery velocity.
• Set Engineering Standards & Govern Technology Decisions by defining and enforcing engineering standards across squads (approved stacks, patterns, API conventions, logging/error standards, libraries, and tech radar).
• Lead an engineering council to review cross-cutting proposals and ensure decisions are documented via Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).
• Own a technology debt register and drive remediation as a first-class engineering priority.
• Build a World-Class Quality Engineering System by establishing non-negotiable quality gates across CI/CD (unit, integration, contract, end-to-end, performance, and accessibility).
• Standardize contract testing across API boundaries to protect customer journeys from regressions.
• Own performance/load testing and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.2 AA) as core quality requirements.
• Define and govern how AI is built and shipped across the portfolio (LLM integration patterns, RAG standards, guardrails, validation, observability).

Vice President, Platform Engineering – Digital & Wealth Management

• Design, implement, and support DevOps, OpenShift and Azure Red Hat OpenShift solutions for Public and Hybrid-Cloud-driven digital transformations.
• Build new and support existing Red Hat OpenShift and Azure Red Hat clusters/platforms.
• Develop new and maintain existing CI/CD DevOps pipelines solutions.
• Provide extensive hands-on support for the administration, configuration, and overall support of the platform.
• Research and develop potential system solutions, including evaluating product and/or vendor products and services when needed.

• Research, experiment with, and implement suitable GenAI algorithms, tools, and technologies
• Explore new services and capabilities in AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Azure to support GenAI and ML services
• Enhance platform functionality with strong engineering expertise in AI, ML, Agentic Frameworks, and modern data technologies
• Develop and promote best practices in AI, ML, and data engineering across teams
• Architect and design end-to-end solutions at a component level
• Collaborate with partners in Enterprise Data, Data Science, Business, Cloud Enablement Team, and Enterprise Architecture teams
