• Payroll Data Entry - Enter and validate employee information, time data, and pay changes in payroll systems.
• Audit Support - Assist with pre and post-payroll audits, including 4-eye checks, data accuracy reviews, and documentation collection.
• Employee File Maintenance - Help maintain digital and physical payroll records in compliance with retention policies.
• Reporting Assistance - Generate basic payroll reports and support month-end or year-end tasks.
• Systems Support - Learn and assist with SAP HP, ADP, or other HRIS/payroll platforms.

Payroll Co-op

• Develop and test the PeopleSoft Global Payroll rules engine.
• Update/modify existing extensions or tailored software.
• Experience with integration of PeopleSoft Global Payroll with existing Oracle PeopleSoft HCM solutions to support the Integrated Personnel and Pay System.
• Design, develop, and maintain customizations and enhancements across a variety of PeopleSoft modules including HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Time & Labor, Financials (AP, AR, GL), and Campus Solutions.
• Develop and support complex components using PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Integration Broker, Component Interface, and Event Mapping.
• Strong experience with SQL, SQR, PS/Query, BI Publisher, and web services.
• Support integrations with third-party and legacy systems using REST/SOAP Web Services, file-based integrations, and middleware tools.
• Collaborate with business analysts and functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, data integrity problems, and system bugs across multiple modules.
• Apply security best practices, manage user roles/permissions, and ensure compliance with data privacy standards (HIPAA, FISMA, etc.).
• Support batch scheduling, job streams, and workflow automation using Application Engine, Process Scheduler, and PeopleSoft Workflows.
• Participate in Agile development processes and contribute to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.

Peoplesoft Developer, Global Payroll

• Assist in reviewing and validating payroll data prior to submission, including timekeeping records, deductions, bonuses, and other adjustments
• Audit payroll reports for accuracy and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with the vendor and internal departments
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Maintain payroll documentation and records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
• Support year-end processes including W-2 review, tax filings, and audits
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams to ensure seamless data flow and integration
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters in a timely and professional manner
• Assist in the implementation and optimization of payroll systems and processes
• Monitor vendor performance and participate in periodic reviews and evaluations

Payroll Specialist

• Oversee and liaise with the outsourced payroll provider to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
• Manage payroll schedules, deductions, and adjustments in collaboration with the external provider.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to plant / employee inquiries
• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
• Prepare and submit required payroll reports
• Work with third party partners to prepare tax filings and year-end activities.
• Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and best practices.
• Supervise or support payroll specialists or coordinators
• Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to payroll staff
• Act as a point of escalation for complex payroll issues
• Generate and analyze payroll to provide insights and support decision-making.
• Present findings to senior management.

Associate Manager, Payroll

• Oversee all aspects of payroll tax compliance for the U.S.
• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of federal, state/provincial, and local tax filings while managing a team of 5 or more employees
• Act as a primary liaison with external vendors (specifically ADP) and internal departments like HR, IT, Finance, and Legal to optimize tax processes and system integrations
• Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required
• Oversees a large team with functional diversity and complexity where activities involve multiple step transactions, multiple systems and jurisdictions, higher volumes and/or medium to high complexity
• Lead teams with multiple points of internal and external contact (may include direct contact with Customers)
• Manage over a diverse geographic jurisdiction
• Provide National support to business partners

Payroll Tax Manager

• Process and support payroll across Canada and the United States
• Ensure payroll is accurate, timely, and compliant
• Respond to payroll inquiries with high care and service
• Administer Canadian and U.S. benefits and retirement savings programs
• Maintain and optimize payroll and HR systems
• Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and support year-end processes

Payroll and Benefits Specialist

• Process payroll on time and accurately: Run bi-weekly payroll for Dutch Bros. LLC
• Process individualized payroll activities that include (but are not limited to): Garnishments, Payroll Draws, Direct deposits
• Administer stand employee bonuses, as dictated by Finance/Accounting Departments
• Distribute manual payroll checks
• Process manual checks, as requested by Human Resources Department
• Protect DB operations by maintaining strict confidentiality
• Track and update payroll change paperwork
• Print pay stubs upon request
• Maintain clear, open communication with HR and Finance/ Accounting Departments
• Create and maintain employee Payroll files for DB LLC
• Support employees with use of time and attendance software
• Answer inquiries regarding employment verification
• Assist employees with establishing online user access
• Document and update DB LLC payroll processes, as needed
• Respond to employee and HQ Payroll inquiries within 1 business day
• Provide payroll information to other departments, as needed, through reports, charts, graphs, or other requested presentation methods
• Respond to Verification of Employment requests and wage verifications

• Assist with employee questions regarding W2s, Direct Deposit, and pay-stubs
• Coordinate internal and external meetings, as needed, to ensure all departments, Operators, and Franchisees have the necessary information

Payroll Processor

• Process biweekly payroll for 450+ employees across multiple states in ADP
• Ensure accuracy across wages, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and deductions
• Manage payroll tax setup, filings, and payments (federal, state, local)
• Audit payroll data from multiple inputs (HR, benefits, finance) prior to processing
• Maintain and update employee data within ADP
• Serve as the go-to for payroll-related questions from employees and managers
• Monitor integrations impacting payroll (benefits, expenses, etc.)
• Support internal and external audits with payroll data and reporting
• Partner with Accounting and leadership on payroll reporting and reconciliations
• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with retention requirements
• Help improve payroll processes, controls, and documentation
• Support training on payroll and timekeeping processes

Payroll and Tax Administrator

• Responsible for the timely and accurate processing and support of Sonoco’s payrolls. Includes multi-company, multi-state, and multiple pay cycles.
• Participate in improvement projects through optimization of Workday processes specifically focused on eliminating manual operations.
• Assist in Root Cause investigation and corrective/preventative action implementation for repeat and impactful payroll errors.
• Proactive audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance with SOX to identify any control weaknesses.
• Initiates corrective action for system edit and error messages.
• Oversee distribution of confidential information as needed to PWC, auditors, corporate, etc. as needed.
• Must be able to research federal and state rules and regulations for the U.S. and Canada.
• Must be able to make decisions to resolve pay issues that arise with the operations, balancing the needs of the employees with the cost to Sonoco, while ensuring that Sonoco follows federal, state, and local regulations.
• Handle garnishment documents and manage employee case resolution.
• Other duties as assigned.
