Mechanical Engineer

• Prepare engineering plans, layouts and designs, supported by accurate calculations and specifications.
• Provide drafting and estimating teams with clear information for detailed drawings, tool development, material lists and cost estimates.
• Review and check designs, materials and equipment to ensure full compliance with specifications.
• Assist with technical documentation including queries, quotations, contract details, technical literature and failure analysis.
• Collaborate with other discipline engineers on development work and construction activities.
• Liaise with suppliers, clients, consultants and commissioning teams throughout design, installation and construction phases.
• Support project performance by monitoring design effectiveness and ensuring schedule, budget and client KPIs are met.

• Assist with estimating, budgeting, final design take‑offs (FDTs) and basic document control.

• Create innovative, consumer-focused products engineered to withstand demanding automotive & active-use environments
• Support research and feasibility assessments for new technologies, materials and product concepts
• Translate customer and market needs into clear engineering requirements, design tasks and measurable performance benchmarks
• Prototype, test and refine concepts through iterative design-build-test cycles
• Manage concurrent design projects, ensuring they are completed within set timeframes and meet all structural performance constraints
• Seek to eliminate technical and functional risks during the design phase, utilising engineering principles to predict how materials and geometries will behave during dynamic events
• Create detailed parametric 3D CAD models, drawings, specifications and BOMs using SolidWorks
• Review and conduct testing on pre-production samples
• Work with the Manufacturing team, suppliers and manufacturers to obtain quotations and DFM input
• Design and develop products that are consistent and recognisable via visual brand language & styling
• Coordinate the design and engineering product packaging solutions to set parameters
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative and respectful design team culture

Senior Product Design Engineer – Contract

• Support maintenance and reliability-based projects, working closely with operations, maintenance, and project teams
• Assist in planning, budgeting, cost control, and job prioritisation activities
• Coordinate jobs, review scopes, ensure quality execution, post-job documentation and SAP update
• Assist in drafting scope of works for static projects and liaising with Procurement team for tendering process
• Apply engineering principles in analyzing static loads, pressure loads, thermal expansion, vibration effects, and piping support stress calculations
• Contribute to preventive maintenance processes and asset management practices
• Participate in quality inspections, equipment assessments and commissioning activities
• Perform data analysis, root cause analysis, and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Develop experience in contractor management, job coordination, and safety planning
• Build knowledge of Major Hazard Facility requirements, engineering standards, and statutory compliance
• Gain exposure to condition monitoring, static equipment (pressure vessels, piping, valves), and applicable codes and standards (ASME, API, AS, ISO)
• Support plant reliability, efficiency, and cost optimisation initiatives
• Apply a systematic and analytical approach to problem-solving and decision-making
• Review and assist in drafting Engineering drawings in AutoCAD
• Compliance with Safety and regulatory requirements for pressure vessels, PRV’s and Inspection / Asset integrity requirements

Graduate Mechanical Engineer

• Define and recommend design methods, specifications and performance of functional requirements for new projects.
• Help resolve technically complex design challenges.
• Supply drafting staff with information necessary to produce detailed drawings.
• Carry out site inspections and liaise with suppliers, clients, consultants or commissioning engineers concerning the design, installation, construction and commissioning of assigned work.
• Ensure project time and cost KPI’s are met, monitor effectiveness of designs, scheduling of work, resource requirements and review compliance with project execution plan (schedule) and client expectations.
• Contribute to periodic reporting e.g. Project progress, resource requirements, Project budget versus cost, priorities, allocation of work, team needs.
• Ensure checking and review processes are completed. Review designs to ensure accuracy and compliance with codes, Australian / International Standards and Sedgman Standards.
• Provide engineering support to the project teams in line with management direction whilst maximising individual and teams utilisation.

Senior Mechanical Engineer

• Take technical ownership of design and application engineering for power generation and temperature control projects across APAC from concept to FAT/SAT and commissioning.
• Deliver detailed mechanical designs for mining and power generation projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations and that designs consider fuel properties, performance, emissions, reliability, and maintainability.
• Size and specify mechanical equipment, including engines, generators, fuel systems, chillers, heat exchangers, HVAC equipment, pumps, and ancillary components.
• Support the design and integration of fuel gas conditioning systems (filtration, pressure regulation, heating) for gas engines.
• Provide operational technical support for deployed systems, including fault-finding, root cause analysis, and performance optimisation to minimise downtime.
• Participate in on-call and escalation support for urgent operational issues.
• Provide technical input and options to Sales teams, supporting bids, tenders, and proposals with optimised solutions.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, project managers, suppliers and contractors to ensure successful delivery.
• Produce clear, concise technical reports and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.
