• Responsible for lending/financing Policies / Framework for specific products in UAE.
• Author and manage the credit criteria and Risk Asset Acceptance Criteria for specific products.
• Responsible for portfolio quality and portfolio management strategy by defining retail credit policy / lending / financing parameters.
• Achieve the planned risk charge for retail products by ensuring quality acquisitions, by working with underwriting units to improve lending criteria from time to time, making them digital friendly, and by initiating portfolio measures to improve / stabilize flow rates on a continual basis.
• Update and maintain Retail Credit Policy Manual which is the framework for the individual Product programs.
• Ensure all retail credit policies are aligned with the strategies’ orientation and target segment that the bank wants to grow.
• Ensure product programs in UAE for the products are aligned and standardized and are within the retail banking lending framework.
• Comprehensive review of the portfolios in UAE on an ongoing basis.

Senior Manager, Credit Policy – Mashreq Global Network

• Review of Tender/Contract documents and implement contract management systems, procedures and processes for effective Contract Management as laid out by the Company and best practices.
• Support the tendering and operational teams with relevant CM inputs namely, Contract & Risk Analysis, Bid Clarifications & Correspondence.
• Building awareness on contractual rights and obligations of Customer and Project stakeholders among the Operations/Project teams and providing comprehensive contract management support from Project/s start-up to closeout.
• Ensuring that Contracts are duly performed and closed, with all contractual issues, fully resolved /settled.
• Ensuring Project Plans are properly devised and implemented in coordination with the Planning & Controls Dept..
• Ensuring that Extension of Time, Change Order and Claims entitlements are duly pursued to Company’s benefit.
• Supporting Project risk and opportunity identification, analysis and management in contractual perspective.
• Preservation of Company’s interests and entitlements under the Contract, by implementing effective Change Management, Claims Management and Dispute Resolution, strategy, procedures and processes.
• Ensuring that all subcontracts are properly drafted (as per applicable company templates if any) and aligned with Main Contract terms and performed to the benefit of Company.
• Supporting in drafting of Contract/ Subcontract documents, agreements and contractual notices, memos & correspondence as required.
• Management of Project Insurances: Ensuring Project Insurances as per contract requirements are duly complied with and submission, monitoring and settlement of insurance claims in accordance with the policies.
• Establishment and implementation of project specific CM procedures, tools, processes and registers, for logging / monitoring events, variation orders, claims, insurance, bonds, warranties, correspondence and notifications.
• Support and guidance to Project/s on general / specific contractual issues.
• Providing Contract Management support as required in respect of disputes.
• Supporting the Projects and Operation Teams in Customer/ Vendor meetings and negotiations on contractual matters.
• Interfacing with related Project Management functions for CM inputs, data and feedback.
• Assisting with ITO Review for critical tenders as may be directed by Region Contract Management Leader.

• Manage domestic and international credit facilities including funding requests, waterfall distribution and exception requests
• Maintain and create new relationships with Capital Markets professional network; support senior management on business presentations and investor relations
• Create and enhance streamlined processes of the business including balance sheet assets and increasing
• Support and run presentation, analysis and transactional legal documents for new asset backed facilities, asset sale transactions, asset pool credit ratings and securitization transactions.
• Support in bank relationships, bank account maintenance, and opening/closing accounts
• Report on portfolio performance including identifying and raising greater income and lower risk opportunities, facility pledging and maximized balance sheet efficiency
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual reporting cycles with Finance colleagues to manage multiple legal entities, money movements and asset allocation strategies

• Responsible for the retail bank’s strategy on ‘Risk’ & ‘Growth’ areas through appropriate retail credit policy actions.
• Update and maintain Retail Credit Policy Manual which is the framework for the individual Product programs.
• Ensure all retail credit policies are aligned with the strategies’ orientation and target segment that the bank wants to grow.
• Ensure product programs in UAE for the products are aligned and standardized and are within the retail banking lending framework.
• Comprehensive review of the portfolios in UAE on an ongoing basis.
• Provide inputs on all strategic initiatives from retail risk perspective – portfolio, acquisitions, retail credit portfolio management, central bank regulation, provisioning norms for retail portfolios.
• Compliance with Central bank Regulations pertaining to retail risk – impact analysis and implementation.
• Actively work with business, risk, legal departments amongst others in developing portfolio strategy with respect opportunities and threats, risks and rewards and portfolio mix based on portfolio segmentation and performance as well as economic, market and competitive intelligence to grow the portfolio profitability, to focus on risk adjusted returns and economic profitability while keeping credit risk under control.
• Maintain predictability of portfolio performance through regular risk charge monitoring. Also, ensure the achievement of risk charge numbers on an ongoing basis by ensuring that they are within plan.
• Drive automation of policies and processes by working together with underwriting team and other relevant stakeholders.
• Review and recommend to senior managers all new product launches and any significant changes to existing policies.
