Infrastructure Engineer

• Support and maintain mainframe z/OS storage environments
• Perform storage configuration changes through ServiceNow change management processes
• Manage storage allocation, monitoring, utilization, and backup/recovery activities
• Support and enhance disaster recovery strategies and processes
• Administer and support DFSMS, DFHSM, DFDSS, DFSMSrmm, FDR, and GDPS environments
• Support IBM DS8000 and TS7700 storage systems
• Utilize and support JCL and ISPF utilities
• Support DB2 SLB (HSM Fast Replication backup) processes
• Leverage storage tools including IBM Tivoli Advanced Allocation Manager, IBM Advanced Catalog Management, and DFSMS Advanced Allocation Manager
• Monitor storage environments using tools such as CA Vantage or IBM Omegamon XE
• Participate in on-call rotations and off-hours change windows

Infrastructure Engineering Advisor – Mainframe z/OS Storage Administrator

• Architect and maintain scalable, reliable infrastructure: Design and optimize infrastructure for high availability, fault tolerance, and performance across distributed systems.
• Lead incident management and root cause analysis: Own incident response processes, ensure swift resolution of issues, and drive post-incident improvements to prevent recurrences.
• Service monitoring and automation: Build and maintain automated monitoring, alerting, and healing systems that improve system health, reduce manual intervention, and minimize downtime.
• Performance tuning and capacity planning: Identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities, and implement scaling strategies to handle traffic spikes and growing workloads efficiently.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with software engineers, product teams, and DevOps to enhance system reliability and delivery pipelines.
• Improve operational processes: Champion continuous improvement initiatives in deployment, scaling, and performance testing, while advocating for the adoption of SRE best practices across the organization.
• Mentorship and leadership: Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers, contribute to strategic decisions around infrastructure, and ensure best practices are implemented at scale.

Senior Infrastructure Engineer

• The Infrastructure Engineer will work on cross functional teams to build scalable infrastructure for our government -- designing, implementing, and delivering services that millions of Americans depend on.
• As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you may be responsible for technical leadership of platform infrastructure projects supporting dev teams and large-scale systems with a strong focus on automation, organization, and communication.
• Your work enables application development teams to run effectively in the cloud to deliver users a modern experience.
• You will be responsible for delivering on client requirements as well as providing long-term oversight and vision to help shape future work.

Infrastructure Engineer – Mid/Sr

• Provide executive leadership and direction to solution engineering functions, including Site Reliability, Storage systems, computer systems, QA, and Systems Engineering
• Define strategic vision, operational objectives, and measurable goals aligned to enterprise technology and business outcomes

Executive Director, Infrastructure Engineering

• Design, engineer, test, and implement infrastructure solutions across Azure IaaS/PaaS, Enterprise Linux, Microsoft 365, and other on-premises platforms to meet availability, security, and performance requirements.
• Collaborate with IT management and IT security to develop and maintain architecture standards, technical documentation, operational runbooks, and strategic plans for Azure, Microsoft 365, and Linux platforms.
• Provide Level 2/3 operational support for infrastructure services, including Azure, Linux and Windows server platforms, backup and recovery, storage, virtualization, and endpoint systems.
• Administer and troubleshoot hybrid infrastructure services, including Active Directory/Entra ID, Azure networking, Microsoft 365 services, Linux and Windows servers, security controls, automation, and system integrations.
• Provide on-site technical oversight to ensure infrastructure standards, operational stability, and timely resolution of escalations, while mentoring junior engineers through day-to-day guidance and knowledge transfer.
