About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The Infrastructure Engineer is a technical specialist role responsible for maintaining, supporting, and improving the global infrastructure platform across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • This role provides deep technical expertise across servers, storage, networking (LAN, WAN and Wifi), virtualisation, backup + DR, and monitoring systems.
  • The role ensures the stability, resilience, performance, and security across infrastructure services that underpin business operations.
  • Engineers deliver hands-on technical work, support incidents, participate in project delivery, implement change, and contribute to global standardisation and modernisation initiatives.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Professional experience in IT support, minimum 3+ years under Service Desk, systems administration, networking, or cloud operations.
  • Strong experience supporting core infrastructure technologies (servers, storage, networking, VMs).
  • Solid hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra ID, Group Policy, and enterprise management platforms.
  • Practical knowledge of virtualisation (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud systems (Azure preferred).
  • Experience with patching, monitoring, and configuration-management tools.
  • Understanding of backup, replication, and disaster-recovery concepts.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across multiple domains.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
