Health Information Specialist

• Reviewing clinical documentation as appropriate to extract data and accurately assign proper facility level CPT based on set algorithm and coding metrics
• Under the supervision of the HIM Coding Manager, perform duties assigned that include excellent communication, accurate leveling and data entry
• Accurately assign appropriate facility levels and procedure codes for all ED/OBS service within accordance of the CPT and CMS guidelines
• Communicate effectively with providers/office manager/auditors/billing department to ensure the highest level of service is being captured
• Review providers dictation as needed to ensure all documentation is accurate
