General Counsel

• Act as the primary legal architect for new products and features.
• Analyze complex financial and consumer protection regulations across European jurisdictions, translating legal requirements in product and design guidance.
• Partner closely with Product, Tech, Strategy, Marketing, Operations and Compliance teams to balance business objectives with smart risk management.
• Provide advice on financial, consumer protection laws and legal issues related to the B2C and B2B expansion of the Satispay ecosystem.

Legal Product Counsel

• Establish and update internal policies related to data handling, regular and exceptional audit procedures, and internal compliance.
• Advise, coordinate, and support the implementation of legal changes, ensuring alignment with the company’s evolving needs while staying current with legislative updates.
• Draft and review contracts, agreements and other legal documents to align with the company’s needs and legal standards.
• Support the AML/KYC requirements.
• Support the company’s business development by addressing any legal matters that arise.
• Represent the company in legal matters when necessary to protect its interests.
• Provide guidance to management and Teams stakeholders on a wide range of legal topics, from organizational management to customer legal aspects and their continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and standards, including data protection requirements, GDPR, and data law, while advising management on necessary actions to uphold these standards.
• Stay updated on legal trends and regulations impacting the European digital business sector, and Estonia in particular.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify and manage legal risks effectively across the company including reviewing legal aspects of product features, terms & conditions, and ensuring its legal accuracy and compliance.
