About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Establish and update internal policies related to data handling, regular and exceptional audit procedures, and internal compliance.
  • Advise, coordinate, and support the implementation of legal changes, ensuring alignment with the company’s evolving needs while staying current with legislative updates.
  • Draft and review contracts, agreements and other legal documents to align with the company’s needs and legal standards.
  • Support the AML/KYC requirements.
  • Support the company’s business development by addressing any legal matters that arise.
  • Represent the company in legal matters when necessary to protect its interests.
  • Provide guidance to management and Teams stakeholders on a wide range of legal topics, from organizational management to customer legal aspects and their continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and standards, including data protection requirements, GDPR, and data law, while advising management on necessary actions to uphold these standards.
  • Stay updated on legal trends and regulations impacting the European digital business sector, and Estonia in particular.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and manage legal risks effectively across the company including reviewing legal aspects of product features, terms & conditions, and ensuring its legal accuracy and compliance.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A Master’s degree combined with relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a legal advisor or lawyer.
  • Expertise in contract and commercial law.
  • Experience with copyright law and related legal issues.
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in Estonian and English.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and excellent organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to handle complex assignments and multi-task efficiently.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
